For many people, it is easy to arrive at the conclusion that it is just too late to change. Or, that they have passed the point of possibility. C.S. Lewis challenges that perspective with these hopeful words: “We are never too old…”
If you’ve had the same goal for years without success, maybe it’s time to rethink how you’re approaching that goal. There are all kinds of helpful ways to set goals. One component to reconsider is size and duration of the goal.
Set smaller, shorter term goals. Instead of “lose 10 pounds this year,” try “work out 3-5x per week for 1 month.” At the end of the month reevaluate your goal and tweak it as needed.
