One of the reasons I enjoy getting out of the concrete jungle and into nature is because it clears my head. It’s like nature sounds are soaking in and pumping out all the man-made clutter that has infiltrated my mind. Sometimes it takes a while to slow down and feel the effects. For me, it’s like I’m pressing my reset button. I feel better, and I’m sure people around me are grateful, too!
Hiking or camping not your thing? Maybe you feel pressed for time. There are other ways to slow down and reset your mind.
TRY THIS: Take up meditation, contemplative prayer, or other mindful practices. Try to do one thing at a time, don’t multi-task. Practice yoga or stretching, which also requires attention to your breath. Take breaks during your day to do these things. You won’t regret it!
